Here's a few pics of my approx. 300 gal EcoWheel filtered twin-tank system (180 gal reef/ 90 gal pier piling)

The basic system is built around the somewhat unknown EcoWheel filtration system. The filter, in it's most basic design, is an ATS based filter that cultivates algae for export via a rotating wheel that is driven by a non-traumatic airlift. The system flows approx. 1400 gph (complete with surging action) through both tanks. The entire setup is powered by 1x4.5 cfm air pump. No accessory pumps or powerheads are used.

Lighting:

(Reef Tank) 2x250w Reef Optix III pendants firing 10k Ushios off of a pair of BlueWave IV ballasts. / 4x48" T5's (2x actinic & 2x true blue) overdriven from an IceCap 660 ballast / 2x 13w PC's (50/50's) for transitional lighting / 2x 12" Cold Cathode light tubes for nighttime effects. / 2x13w PC's for transitional lighting. / 1 3-bulb LED for night

(Pier piling) 1x70w IceCap MH spot pendant firing 6500k Iwasaki 'spot' bulb. / 2x13w PC's (50/50) for transitional lighting. / 1 3-bulb LED for nighttime effects.

Many thanks. It's taken an aweful lot of hard work but I think I'm finally at a point where I can catch my breath and sit back and enjoy the tank.
